Abstract: The development of subsea and floating production systems involves the use of hybrid' pipeline technologies. The interfacing of often-differing technologies, however, can give rise to system incompatibilities which can impact pigging, inspection, and long-term integrity monitoring. To develop a long-term strategy, it is necessary to identify key interfaces and likely engineering problems at the design stage which can impair overall pipeline integrity.
