Title: A review of electrochemical monitoring techniques for studying corrosion of ferrous materials in soils
Category: Papers by Dr R A King
Downloadable: Yes
Catalog No.: 752
Date of Publication: 1983
Price: $25.00 US

Abstract: The factors which determine the aggressivity of soils are summarized and techniques for assessment of corrosion of buried metals are described and their limitations are outlined. Electrochemical techniques (impedance, noise, coupling current using zero-resistance ammetry) are particularly stressed. Three laboratory studies of undersoil corrosion in aerated soils are described. One study in dearated bacterial mud and some sites results from a reinforced earth structure are also detailed.
